Day 26: (total for 24, 25 and 26 = $53,809) An average of ~$18k/day to total at $2,401,000
Day 27: $17,836 in Sales

Total of $2,418,836 as of 7pm GMT-4

We look to be averaging around $17K/day for US / Canadian orders that show up automatically.
And an unidentified amount from international orders.

There’s ~18 days left in the campaign.
If things continue as they have been the domestic totals would be another ~$306K for just shy of the 2.8M, but there is good possibility to at least get the hammer orcs. And with international orders, we could potential see it hit over 3M.

I’m conflicted. I want the Mummies. But I don’t really want the Bard. Decisions decisions ...

It's called Comercialization. This website was made by people with love for the game. It blew me away when I first found out about it, and that was quite by accident.
Facebook was made by millionaires to capitalize off of trends, genre and anything else the populace gets excited about. They categorize people with algorithms based on posts and likes. It all goes into one Giant database for analysis. This gives them a better idea on selling standpoints and marketing for specific types of people. It also reads into people's personal and political views so the media can continue telling people what they want to hear, or marking others who have a different method of thinking.

So if this website was more about making money or focused on everyone's personal beliefs there'd be more advertisements and links found all over the internet about this place. But it's just for a fanbase with love for a particular board game.

Well put.

I've always consider the Giant Wolves to be females...

Games Workshop didn't start it, but MB did begin the trend in the Classic Hero Quest era with the Elf and Barbarian Quest Packs having gender swapped options for two of the Heroes. They also gave us a female Elf boss character (when they could have just asked us to use the Chaos Warlock again). People criticize the miniatures in those sets compared to the GW creations, but I gotta say I like the fact that the female Elf and Barbarian in those sets were not just slighter built clones of the male characters with mammary glands added. They looked unique and cool (though the female Elf's sword looked pretty weak). Had there been a Dwarf and a Wizard quest pack, I would have fully expected that trend to continue, that we'd get a (most likely blue) female dwarf and sorceress (I heard of people using the Sinestra figure as a female wizard even).

No, they don't HAVE to "put girls in the game" BUT if it will get more girls to play WITH the boys, I see that as a win. It's equal opportunity mayhem and just an aesthetic option. It's not like they're making a new rule that says only female characters can attack each other. So the druid and warlock are only boys and the bard is only a girl?

I am still demanding to know where the female Skeletons, Abominations, Gargoyles and yes, female Zargons are...

And I say welcome to any fans who come here just because of the new thing, whether they are liking it so far or hating it! This is calling to mind what we like about the game and what we want to mod... that's what it's all about. Fun!

Personally, I'm super excited for the new version. I love the inclusion of the female mini options, I'm loving all the new characters, and I'm super excited for new quests and my first opportunity to have any of the expansions. I really hope they bring out the other expansions down the line, and continue to provide new and exciting content for HeroQuest in the future.

I'm honestly pretty surprised by all the negativity toward the product, but I suppose I shouldn't be. Hostility toward change is a pretty common thing in old school gaming communities. Heck, even the World of Warcraft community (which isn't very old at all by our standards) just saw a decent amount of complaints by adding darker skin color options for their elves. Here, I'm seeing complaints about women and orcs.

I've got plenty of mummies (two more can't hurt though.) I can live with it if it means that the $3.0 mil stretch goals never see production and canonization. Shame about that beautiful quest book cover art though.

I’m the same, I just see monsters and couldn’t care less if an orc etc is male or female.
But we’ve reached a timeline of peak identity politics. When we were growing up we were told not to see race or sex, and to treat everyone equally. But the woke movement hates all that. Now we really, really, really have to see race and sex, at all times and in everything we do. We have to engage in racialised thinking, or else.
I remember seeing an article on BBC about Game of Thrones in which the author was literally rating all new episodes by counting up the number of times females characters got to speak. We have reached the bottom the barrel for this kind of witless, lowest common denominator nonsense. At least I hope it’s the bottom.

In answer to an earlier post regarding facebook and the forums relative prevalence. I have found that a newer generation of internet users do not do forums, instead its on social media. Unfortunately social media is not very good at easily categorizing nor preserving discussion. It becomes a multi directional discussion that is not easily found again, So the same discussions tend to keep happening. Which might be good for engagement but poor for shared knowledge. Discord seems to be where stuff is at right now. It is an improvement over facebook as the discussion is more segregated but the archival and sorting is still not as good as a forum. The complaint about forums I hear is that having to register is too time consuming. I think it more that FB etc has everything all in one place and you see it automatically. Which is also its weakness. The detail obtainable there is low. Its very much a quantity over quality environment.

Yep, that's pretty much it in a nutshell. Clearly, this forum is akin to the true Heroquest champions of old while the FB group is an Orc bard...lol

I actually like the female monsters and hero's being added for 2 reasons. 1st is that I have 2 daughters that I'd like to eventually have play with me and I know they prefer girl hero's like I'd want a male hero. And 2nd is that I very much like variety in the miniatures, and this just gives even more of it. So for me it's a win-win

Someone, all of us, should get Leathaface a nice thank you gift for tracking the sales.

Thank you!

Also, I agree with mystic, i love the variety. It's the Druid and Orc bard that bother me for all of the reasons already stated.

That said, just an opinion. I am still very excited for this.

Question - it's been a few years since I busted out my paints. Will they be dried up, and is there a way to salvage or restore them? I'd hate to have to buy them all again. Or is there a better way to store them?
