They look great. Look like they bathe often, very clean.

I love the Fimirs, especially the ax blades! Sorry, no wood advice or links from me--you're outta my league. I'm looking forward to those Mummies.

Looks great.

For wood I like to paint some thin stripes in a lighter brown:

Hi guys!
I finally finished my mummies. Pretty happy with these guys, although nothing ever really seems to be quite good enough, know what I mean? I did two different skin tones, one more fantasy based (bluish-green) and one more realistic (mummy brown).
As always, more pics and details at my blog: https://darthtomsgaming.wordpress.com

Niiiice.
Both skin variants look good, but the lighter bandages are simply too clean for my own taste.
I'd give those a few more washes.

Unfortunately, I suck at washing. Everything I paint is done through layering, with only an occasional dry brush and washes reserved for a base every once in a while. So to darken the light ones up would mean basically starting from scratch. It was really difficult to get the white balance decent on these figures though, and they do look better in real life. It seems the flesh was the only parts the camera really wanted to pick up appropriately :?

They are some VERY nice looking miniatures you have painted.

I can agree with you about applying washes to the figures. I have found that ether I end up using the wrong color wash or the wrong tone, which then forces me to start over again because the color scheme will end up off.

What size brush are you using 0 or 00?
