Just keep reminding them to STICK TOGETHER and watch each other's back.
And give them healing potions.
And even give them better artefacts for searching - ("you find the Cloak of Barbie. It gives +1 defence die as it dazzles the monsters with diamonds.)

Thanks for the pointer. I'll grab the Arena quest right away. My kids are 10 & 12, so I'm not necessarily looking for simplistic in the sense of easy for beginners. More easy in the sense that one or two Heroes can be successful without many changes to the original quest.
