Basically. I use Quest Five as my "final" Quest, typically. You're probably all familiar with the effort I expend to kill Heroes off (within the rules). The final quest in WoM is my personal Disney Land. Except instead of thematic attractions and fun rides, its mostly skulls on spikes and arcade games.

So...late-1990s Disney Land?

Same here, very neat idea.

Cheers, admin for the post cleanup. Forgot which subforum I was in when I raised the question and meant to be in the Published. Had a quick glance but hadn't seen the previous answer.

EUR & NA expansions, playing order. suggestions

Postby splatterkid » Monday January 19th, 2015 3:50am

I'm sure this topic has come up in the past, however I couldn't find it. I am in America and am aware of the differences between the NA & Euro versions but my HQ crew & I want to play everything in the best possible order. My crew has passed the first game system, kellers keep and is now coming near the end of witch Lord.. does anybody have any recommendations of what to do next. Part of me thinks we should go Frozen horror but then again I kinda want to alter
stats in the ogre hoard.

Which expansion should we play next?

The European expansions are one coherent story, so I'd say it goes like this:

Game System
Kellar's Keep
Return of the Witch Lord
Against the Ogre Horde
Wizards of Morcar

I think it would be weird to plop the NA expansions in between the EU ones.
After that nothing indicates a play order, but I'd say Dark company last as it's such a huge epic quest.

Mage of the Mirror
The Frozen Horror
The Dark Company

I ran it this way:
Core game book
Kellar's Keep
Return of the Witch Lord
Against the Ogre Horde
Wizards of Morcar
BQP/The Frozen Horror
EQP/Mage of the Mirror
DQP/Warlord of Corruption (Home Brew)
WQP/Lord of Daemons (Home Brew)
The Dark Company
Shadows of Chaos (Homebrew featuring the WD, ADK, & MWS quests, along with a few others)
Knights of Chaos (Homebrew to close the narative)

It worked really well. It just took a long time!

Hi Slev, any chance you'd share your home brew quest packs?

They where up for my HQR project for the longest time.

I'll try and post the (now outdated) versions.

They have been updated, making them a LOT better. I'm hoping to get the time to put the Quest Books together for HQR soon.

The last four QBs have not been updated fully from the play-test, but they should give you a good idea of where I'm going. If you can stomache a wait, they'll be updated for the new version over the next few months.
