Like Kurgan said, at your table, the sky is the limit. Lol. I'm all for open range.

I didn't care for the new heroes to be honest, the Warlock and Bard all seem unreliable. At least the Rogue has a backstory, so I can get behind that.
But those who bought the Mythic Tier are indeed stuck with these new characters. If I were playing a real game with other people I'd advise them to use the original characters, things would just get convoluted and confusing if I were to include these D&D characters.

But if I'm just playing around to test how well they'd do by comparison, I'd probably get a good laugh from it.
I already tried the Druid, Bard Wizard and Warlock on the Trial and it resulted in a TPK. I think they could only offer merit with complimentary strong characters such as the Barbarian and Dwarf.

My thought at the start was that these new Mythic heroes could serve as NPCs in homebrew quests... they seem more like specific characters rather than generic archetypes to represent players.

Yes, that's because they were created by D&D fanboys who didn't see the difference in Hero Quest. It's why I'm not particularly fond of them. I'll give a Pass to the Druid, but the Bard and Warlock are too specific to be genetic. It's like their back stories are already half written.

Just to share with you that I have finally found a function of the external dust jacket of the Mage of the Mirror box... if you place the box in vertical, the jacket embraces the covers, so it avoids the accidental opening of the box. In case of Frozen Horror box, its covers use to separate once in vertical since there is nothing stopping their displacements. Nevertheless, I guess probable Hasbro's intention about including this card jacket was not this one, but...

The box does open much more easily due to the linen texture, so that is a neat idea!

I finally received my EQP today from Entertainment Earth. The cardboard thing covering the box is weird, but it does keep the box sealed with only one sticker, and the back side of the sleeve shows all the pieces included, in the same format as on the Frozen Horror box.

I noticed the bottom tray seems to have a spot to store the tiles, once punched out. The is nice, as in the other expansions and the new retail box your only option is to lay them flat on the bottom of the box. I’m not sure what to do with the cards if I put sleeves on them however. The ogres on this tray are quite hard to remove, but everything else comes out easily. The tomb seems especially massive compared to the game system version.

Overall I’m happy to finally get a version on the EQP, and can’t wait for the delightfully “dreadful” expansion on the horizon.

Has there been any word on when Mage of the Mirror will be added to the app?

Today I was thinking about it. I have no idea about its release date, however, I think Mage of the Mirror will probably require more new addons to the app in the shape of new mechanics. For example, the new App version should allow revealing one room if the Potion of Vision is consumed by an Elf, there are also new spells to be cast by the Heroes (Elven magic), and so on. Those kind of mechanics are not still allowed in the current version of the App.

Not sure, of course, but maybe a good maturity of these details could delay more than usual the update of the App.
