1989 Kellar's Keep UK/AUS Milton Bradley/Games Workshop contents:
one quest book (28 pages including front and back cover...strange page count) with minions of Morcar painting on back (an edited Warhammer painting removing skaven, beastmen, and dark elves but curiously keeping snotlings not found in basic HeroQuest likely because they were in front of another monster and not easily edited.)
17 Figures in dark olive green hard plastic with extra lip step on the bases.
8 orcs (one boss orc with notched scimitar, two with flails, three with scimitars, two with cleavers)
6 goblins (two with arming swords, two with scimitars, two with hatchets)
3 fimirs
2 plastic door stands
30 single sided carboard tiles or door pieces (one Grin's crag walkway, four two-stair halls, two three-stair halls, two pits, two trap doors, one stone boulder sphere, one forge, one magical darkness,
two doors( interestingly, the folding door tiles are wood on one side and iron on the other, an error that was corrected in later printings and the NA version), four stone map pieces, ten rubble piles (used to block corridors and as deadfall traps in the UK version.)
two inserts probably also came with a mail-in questionnaire, and a folded advertisement showing both quest packs, the HeroQuest board game and on the reverse Space Crusade board game.

more to come when I get home from work today I will post Return of the Witchlord versions comparison, and maybe tomorrow the base games.
We can post and discuss the text and quest map differences we notice in the different versions of KK here too.

someone mentioned that the original quest packs came with two carboard door tiles but NOT the plastic door bases they stand in.
That could be true, I may have put plastic door bases with my sets from the base game box years ago and forgotten about it.

You're showing the Australian version, not the UK. :geek:
Thanks for the pictures. Also, YES, the previous editions had the doors but no plastic stands were included.
Also I would like to say, good thing you didn't rip off the paper stripes that hold the cards as that guy did in his unboxing video! :o

Are there any differences? I have my fingers crossed that the aussie version of ROTWL has in fact "Kangaroo Boots" artifact, j/k.

The box is different (2 parts) and of course the WL features the Cangaroo Boots instead of the Rabbit ones!

Are you certain? I bought it from a UK seller quite a few years ago, and the back of the box says "conforms to UK toy safety regulations."
I haven't ever bought anything from Australia...although the back of the questbook does say Aukland, NZ
